|
Her support for her daughter likely will resonate more than finger-pointing.

18. When did he meet her family? Before or after he announced her? |
|
If reports are right, he only met her once, talked to her on the phone, he could have found out after it was too late. Which is my bet.

24. You don't need to meet for him to be informed. |
|
I'm sure a telephone can relay a lot of information as well. So then he would know about it. If she was vetted, I'd assume one of his operatives would have met her and known about this or at least been to the town to know or speak to her contacts to know. When I say her prenancy is pretty obvious there are a lot of ways to find out if you're looking for it.

If they support the daughter unconditionally they can move the argument from antiabortion to caring for babies. That's a big difference

Democrats believe in personal privacy and reproductive choice. We should respect both in this case.

Do you suppose they'd give it a pass? This speaks directly to their hypocrisy and to the fact that abstinence only doesn't work.

21. And would we be objecting, saying it's none of their damned business? |
|
Doesn't this speak to another group's hypocrisy?
After all, if it were Obama's daughter, we'd be saying it's none of their business, and claiming it as a higher moral principle.
A higher moral principle that is weighted for party affiliation, apparently. At least for some people.
(As for abstinence-only, is that the rule in schools Bristol's attended? Or was Bristol entirely home-schooled? If I'm going to accept that she's pregnant as a consequence of abstinence-only education, I at least need to see that the premise holds and her sex ed was abstinence only.)

12. Three steps: 1st, hypocritical Dems have to attack the Palins for private family matters.... |
|
2nd, Smug Republicans get uppity over how gullible Dem knee-jerks have walked into the fairly obvious trap of attacking motherhood and verbally abusing a teenaged mother-to-be, going against standards of decency and betraying our own values
3rd, Obama makes a big speech distancing himself from these juvenile attacks on the Palins, but still manages to slip in a subtle plug for his work telling teenaged dads-to-be that they need to step up to their responsibilities.

1. Extra-marital affairs.
2. Teen pregnancy/Pre-marital sex.
3. Drug use.
4. Abuse (verbal)
5. Lieing.
They have five weeks of shows.

27. Sarah supposedly does not believe in contraception, even for married couples. She accepted this VP |
|
slot, knowing what it would subject her child to. Turns out this typical hockey mom from the Harper Valley PTA may not be so typical after all. Maybe not so much a great mom either. And why did McCain pick her. Did he know about Bristol or not? Did he subject Bristol to this, or did he not vet? Either way, lousy JUDGMENT.
