The insane conspiracy theory has just been disproven
The baby is definitely Palin's. So now can everyone admit that was a complete load of bullshit and waste of time?

2. What it now proves is Sarah Palin exercised bad judgment with her own pregnancy.
The "conspiracy theory" is what forced the GOP to spill the beans.

8. and bad judgement with keeping her daughter out of school
for months on end. I remember that if I was well enough to hang out with friends, I was well enough to go to school. Clearly she was well enough to hang out with at least one friend. Utter disregard for the daughter's education. Just who I want to be overseing things like who is secretary of education.

4. But it had its roots in the Palins lies -- and Sarah's very odd behavior.
Rumors have been swirling for months in small-town Alaska -- apparently a friend of one of the sisters let the word out about the girl's pregnancy. But Palin specifically denied that the girl was pregnant to her spokesperson. (According to the spokesperson, she had VOLUNTEERED this info to him before he even heard about the rumor.)

Then she took that crazy 12 hour, 2 jet flight across the country with leaking amniotic fluids, a 44 yr. old in a high risk pregnancy. And the flight attendants said they weren't concerned because they hadn't even noticed she was pregnant, much less possibly in early labor.

So, with the help of some pictures, people drew their own conclusions. The conclusions were wrong. But it isn't surprising that people drew them. After all, the Palins were publicly denying that their daughter was pregnant -- even though the girls' friends had already begun to spread the word.

7. No - instead they'll double-down. See the "just about five months" nonsense in this very thread.
What these idiots don't realize is that every time Palin's daughter is attacked, the McCain campaign smiles. This helps them far more than it hurts, because most Americans don't like vicious, anonymous bullies who attack young women. Apparently a good many at DU do, and that's unfortunate.

23. Who's attacking the daughter? I feel for the kid.
She probably wouldn't know a condom if it bit her. She might not even be real sure how babies are made -- she's a victim of "abstinence only" education.

I feel terrible that her mother dragged her into the limelight. It's obviously NOT a good time for her family to be put through a presidential campaign. And I would say that if Palin were the father, too.

Pregnant at 16, pregnant at 17. What's so confusing?

Oh, the "5 months pregnant" thing? It's a lie. Probably.

Now we can focus on the topics of importance like that $20 million dollar debt that woman left Wasilia in, which says to me, if she can't handle the budget of a small city. She'll fuck up extraordinarily our budget which is at the bottom of the shit tank. We're trying to get out and she'll send us deeper.

21. Her water had broken - or not? I've seen 17, 12, and 6 hr. flights mentioned.
Active labor, vs. induced labor - there's so many stories you can't keep them straight. But it is a known fact that women aren't supposed to get on a plane after a certain stage of pregnancy. And once your water breaks, it is KNOWN to be important that you need to get to a hospital pronto. My water broke, and I was ordered to the hospital with my first birth. When my labor didn't start, it was induced - due to the known dangers of a "dry" birth. These are not wive's tales - they are known to be important. She had no business whatsoever getting on a plane after her water broke - labor or no labor. doing so shows poor judgment. PERIOD.

25. So, that makes it okay? Her water had broken - she had NO business
getting on a plane. Why is that so hard to understand? She placed her baby in danger when she did that - that is not in dispute.

30. If I had followed one doctor's advice to me - I'd be dead.
Doctors are not God,, some are incompetent, they make mistakes, some are corrupt, some have no business going anywhere near a person. How can you be so DEAD certain this Doctor is 100% competent?
Another doctor's advice would have left me handicapped for life - give me a break.

27. NO. if this is the case, now she can explain to all of us WHY she chose to put baby
in a life and death situation by not going to a hospital in houston instead of going from 4 am unti after midnight before seeking medical help......

horribly poor judgment on her part

and if she has to step into pres she will be making other life and death choices. she failed on tis one and it was her own child. how can we trust her to make a good choice with people she doesnt even know

28. When Bristol produces a live birth, then the rumor will be laid to rest
Until then, it will go on, sorry.

Oh, and she has to produce a child in the timeframe where she couldn't have had one in April. So if she births a baby sometime this year, yeah, that one rumor will have been effectively disproven.

I, however, predict that she "miscarries" due to all this stress (and unless my "theory" isn't clear - it's that Bristol is NOT pregnant now, but making it seem so, as cover for her mom, which was cover for her.)

People who lie, lie deep.
