These pregnancy rumors existed long before Palin was selected to run for veep. The truth about the girl's pregnancy was going to come out soon enough, so Palin could have prevented all of this on day one with a simple "by the way" statement. Instead, they waited until the rumors simmered for a while before smacking them down for maximum political impact, causing even more grief for the poor girl.

Now they're trying to insinuate that Obama had something to do with it by saying "liberal blogs" have his name in them.

1. I have not been really following this closely...

But, I thought the rumors here were that the child was really the daughters and that Palin pretended to be preggers and to say the child was hers. Ok, then how does the daughter being preggers now make that any less of a possibility?

People can't question a woman who touts abstinence as the only sex education, then winds up with a pregnant teenaged daughter? People can't wonder about seemingly strange circumstances surrounding the family? If Republicans and MSM think for one moment that this extremist woman's background won't be investigated by the real news people they are sticking their empty heads in the sand.

I'm right on board with this being one more example of the fantastic track record of abstinence-only sex ed.

10. Agree completely. This poor girl has got to be messed up

psychologically from living in that household of lies. Now to cover up the original lie they announce three days after the fact that she is "about" five months pregnant. That girl is not a day over four months pregnant--I'd bet my rebate check on it. Not only did they roll the big bus over her when baby No. 1 was born but now they back the 12 wheeler up and proceed to do it again. So much for family values.

Also noticed that in the pics taken from the announcement the expression on her sister's face(willow?) tells the story. That is a scary family.
