If the election is about [????] We Win...
Remember how the McCain campaign was trying to make this election about Obama? About a referendum on Obama?

Obama's way of defeating that was to say that the election was about US, the American people, not him.

McCain didn't just lose his experience meme when he brought Palin aboard his sinking ship. He lost his crosshairs on Obama.

The election is no longer about "Obama". It's about "Palin". And if the election is about Palin, we win, folks.

1. You just might have it nailed...... I like it.
It becomes a referendum on McCain's judgement no matter what happens now.

2. As the drumbeat gets louder...
I believe it will gain steam, and continue to perpetuate itself. By all means, yes, let's focus on this woman whose previous experience was as mayor of a small country backwater.

Let's make it about Palin. The obsession over here at DU may seem unbecoming, but this is really very much an election about her.

Joe Biden will back up Barack Obama's judgment and his day-to-day operations in the White House.

In response:

- Palin doesn't even know what a VP does, and doesn't seem interested
- When McCain dies or becomes debilitated, if another 9/11 happens, how will she handle it?

We need to make this an election about national security and a referendum on a party that thinks the Presidency is a joke. Every red blooded American "patriot" (said with much sarcasm, trust me) who loves his God and his guns and has his faded yellow flag magnet on the back of his car needs to be asked, "Do you trust this woman to manage a war? Do you want to leave the fate of our troops and our country in the hands of this woman who still has "PTA" on her resume?"

All the fundamentalist "ladies" out there who love their children so much and think it's such a "blessing" that we have a woman on the ticket need to go ask their local PTA leader what she will do if terrorists strike at the heart of our country again.

A PTA leader, small town mayor and 20 month poor governor cannot lead this country through difficult times.

Goldie Hawn called. She wants her movie script back.

3. WRONG. You had it the first time. It's about McCain and his lack of due diligence.
She is just the unlucky sap that got picked by him.
