All of a sudden my heart breaks for Palin's pregnant daughter. There she was, a 16 year old who got knocked up. Okay, her mom is governor. But now she's going to probably be on every tabloid cover in America and maybe around the world. This is their bread n' buttah. Forever, her pregnancy is part of American history if her mother stays in the race or drops out.

Hubby and I decided not to have kids. So I'm not schooled on this whole deal as others are around here. But I just realized that at this young age she's fodder for the sleazy at a time when she ought to be picking out paint colors for the baby's room.

I had a boss once who reminds me of Palin. She developed a cunning sense to fill in where she lacked smarts. Her children played second fiddle to career. No matter how high she climbed, it was never enough. I see similarities and can't help but find a tender spot for Palin's daughter if I'm right to compare the situations.
