Er uh it has to be said, the pregnancy is unimportant but THE CRIME IS IN THE COVER-UP
McCain says Palin was vetted, McCain said he knew the daughter was pregnant, Palin's spokesperson said there was no evidence the daughter was pregnant. A pattern (THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE THE DAUGHTER) has emerged here. . .its called lying to and misleading the press and this is going to blow up BIG TIME! Trust me on this.

4. No crime has been commited by lying to the press (which it is obvious is happening)
. . .is tantamount to breaking the law to the media. When they are lied to they will destroy the source of the lies.

I'm a PR consultant and I know that the best way to kill your career and doom your client is to lie. An inconvenient truth is 100 times better than getting caught in a lie.

6. You're correct about how to handle the press - but they never lied.
They were never asked about the daughter being pregnant and when rumors started they got in front of it by announcing that she is pregnant. And the spin among the pro-lifers will be amazing.

Dems look hypocritical going after this issue - and there are so many others to go after her over that we're wasting our time on this one.

7. Palin volunteered to her spokesperson that her daughter wasn't pregnant.
Sounds like a lie to me.

http://community.adn.com/?q=adn/blog/24417

Just got off the phone with Palin's two in-state spokespeople.

McAllister, he said he found out this morning along with everybody else. I said people might find that hard to believe.

“I guess they can call me a liar then, but that’s the truth.”

Again, he said the only time he talked to Palin about it was when she approached him and said rumors about Bristol weren't true.

5. Palin's Spokesperson also told ABC News that on Friday she'd be at an Anchorage State Fair
Seems like there is a pattern with this one.

12. Exactly right...
To all the hand-wringers who say, "Ooo, don't talk about her pregnancy," I ask how are we supposed to discuss the underlying lack of judgment that went into picking Palin in the first place.

I feel sorry for the kid. I'd like nothing more for her than to had a pleasantly anonymous pregnancy and honeymoon with her new husband. But her parents' desire for power was stronger than their desire to protect their kid, and for that' I'm truly sorry.

But to say we should ignore this issue when it gets right at her parents' judgment (and by extention, John McCain's judgment) is patently silly.
