8. I go with the latter, but for very practical reasons: the former just puts a smile on John McCain's

face, and helps his campaign. They eat this "let's attack Palin's daughter" shit being shoveled out here and other places up with a spoon.

I know many of my fellow DU'ers don't seem to be able to grasp this simple concept, but the vast majority of the American people don't rub their hands with glee over the public humiliation of a seventeen year old girl. They just don't share that same irrational blood-lust to rip a minor's life to shreds for political gain - in fact, they tend to look quite disapprovingly on those who do. As does about any decent person.
