It's the Economy STUPIDS...Lay off the lady's daughter!
Do NOT attack her daughter. Remember when Kerry mentioned the Lesbian status of Cheney's daughter? It became a running joke of desperation!

1. No one is attacking the daughter.. we are holding to the light
a devious, power hungry, person who has no integrity. A person who could not put off her own ambitions for four years, to let her daughter be exposed to the national and international press.

2. We are also exposing the hypocrisy of the right wing
who lie about family values, that would support the attacks on a 17 year old girl for power, by not vetting this person. Instead of coming to this childs' defense they are covering their own backsides

3. The economy doesn't get press. This does. If they'd actually cover news, we'd be
able to leave it alone. But everyone knows the media are the owners of the companies who stand to lose significantly if Obama wins.

So if this is the way to totally discredit the party and keep GOP voters home, I say, go for it.

Enough of the lies and wars and economic meltdown.

If this woman didn't want this attention, she shoudln't have volunteered. Fool.

4. It's the economy, burgeoning twin deficits, pre-emptive wars of aggression, the environment, the war
on science, a falling standard of living and value of the dollar, all of these and so much more. But who wants to talk about such piddling trifles during an election cycle when there's Jesus, abortion/right-to-life issues, the right of gun ownership, and bleeding-heart libruls who are soft on crime, drugs, commies and other pinkos, and terraists? :P

It's the vetting, stupid. THAT, ladies and gentleman, is the story.
I see a variety of threads, many of them handwringing, about how the many stories of Sarah Palin are being handled. But frankly, that is not the issue. The REAL issue is that McCain made a RASH and RECKLESS decision for Vice President. As Kerry said on Sunday, Palin may be a "terrific person", but it is clear that McCain has shown he is erratic in his decision making. Some stories that have been aired here may have more legs than others. But what has become abundantly clear is that all the stories share one single thread: the McCain campaign did not do their homework, and now the internet is exploding with rumors, old videos, Alaskans coming out of the woodwork with negative opinions, and so on to do it for them. This is just the beginning. This is Exhibit A when a campaign doesn't do its job when picking a V.P.

Frankly, it is a frightening glimpse of what a McCain presidency would look like: rash and reckless decisions without doing any preparation for the consequences of those decisions. I think we saw enough of that in the last eight years. And what is the most inexplicable thing about what John McCain has shown: he wouldn't just be a continuation of the Bush/Cheney years. He would be worse than the Bush/Cheney years.
