Boo Fricken Hoo! The GOP is upset that Liberal bloggers are tearing down their VP candidate!
First of all I don't believe that candidate children themselves are fair game. I also don't believe that the vast majority of blogs and posts are attacking any children, and if any do, they should be denounced immediately. What they are doing however, is bringing to light the incredibly poor decisions that Sarah Palin has and is continuing to make. This is something the MSM should be doing, but in their absence, we're left with the blogs, and thank goodness we have them.

3. Fuck the Republican Party and fuck the Republicans!
McCain and Palin want to make decisions for our families, but they claim a right to privacy when it involves the scandals in their families.

9. repubs may be pricks for lots of reasons but I don't remember them going after Obama and his young
mother as a campaign tactic. Children should be off limits. Like I've said many times, being an Alaskan there are LOTS of real issues that can be trumpeted besides her young daughters baby. While repubs may not give us the courtesy we need to be above board and not stoop to their level.

17. Did you happen to read the OP?
It mentions that children are indeed off limits. Both McCain and Palin have displayed terrible judgment on numerous occasions, and discussing this is absolutely necessary. We mustn't let America get saddled with these two!

5. What? So Palin is a redneck stoner who has a teenage pregnant child and had a child too late in life
Apparently she CAN'T EVEN MANAGE HER OWN LIFE. She just simply is not qualified to be President.

(I went off on a tengent - I know - I just love the sound of my description of her)

People have been mentioning McCrash's joke. And remember Limbosevic's "White House dog" joke? What what did she ever actually do?

The issue is not Bristol Palin's conduct. The issue is Sarah Palin's deceit and McCrash's incompetence.

21. So Bush & Rove can go after McCain's CHILD.... but we're the bad guys?
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 03:08 PM by progressivebydesign
Shit. The GOP went after McCain's daughter in 2000 when he had the audacity to run against Bush. The shit they did was horrific -- not to mention they went after McCain implying he was insane, PTSD, and his child was his illegitimate black child. Not ONLY did McCain kiss up to Bush and Rove repeatedly since then, the fucker HIRED the guy that orchestrated the filthy attacks on McCain's own family.

Now those pukes want to chastise US for hitting below the belt??? Since their trolls read DU, and are paid to do so...

I've got a link for ya right here (if they haven't scrubbed it already): http://bartcopnation.com/dc/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=8&topic_id=522 From Bartcop, and it's really pretty offensive, so forgive me for posting it, but the GOP is offensive!

Take that, GOP, and shove it up your ass.

(on edit) I think it says a lot about the bigotry in the GOP, that a tactic used to sink McCain was to say that he had a "black" child, and it worked against him. How fucked up is that?

28. This is the bottom line that I get from the whole thing...
Because of rumors floating around about fake pregnancies Palin couched what would have otherwise been a very uncomfortable revelation to the republican base as vindication in the face of liberal slander - and she gets to talk pro-life values to boot... made villains of her democratic foes and energized the base. From the political standpoint I don't think the GOP is that "upset."
