Why the pregnancy story matters. |

1) It clearly illustrates that the McGramp's campaign farmed out the vetting of a VP pick to the religious nutsacks. That reflects poorly on McGramp's leadership.
2) If just two days of scrutiny has uncovered "skeletons", then what will further scrutiny uncover? Maybe the M$M will get off their collective lazy fat asses and do a little further investigation into Palin, her lies, her coverups, her abuse of power, and incompetence.
3) This clearly puts the McGramps campaign into turmoil. Back on their heels, having to react defensively, keeping the pressure on them... all can force them into an epic blunder.
4) This will turn the RNC into a circus. Media can't ignore the issue, will have to ask questions. Will Ron Paul's neighboring "convention" now get coverage?
5) If the Palin pick was forced on McGramps by the religious right, then moderate republicans and neocons have to be absolutely livid. Party turmoil on the eve of a "uniting" RNC convention can only be good for Dems. If some repukes bleed off into the Paul and Barr camps - all the better.

They're vetting her now. The campaign of John McCain has sent a staff of eight people into Alaska to conduct background checks and vetting on Governor Sarah Palin.
Word is they have have eight rooms reserved at a Wasilla hotel.
