My mom and I were trying to figure out where the story came from. Did she tell that story herself? I thought so but there was nothing about it in the transcript of her acceptance speech.

2. That's what I understand..
and it's still the one piece of the story that doesn't make any sense whatsoever. I can't figure out why she would make up such a story, and it's got to be made up in my opinion.

7. If it's true, it shows Sarah Palin in an even worse light.
If her water broke, she needed to get to a hospital and get it checked out to ensure the baby was okay. Instead she goes for many hours, thereby endangering her baby? It demonstrates either 1. her disastrous decision making or 2. her terrible "real" family values or 3. her ruthless ambition that supersedes even any concern for the child. This wasn't her first child, it was her fifth. She knew full well what it meant to have her water break.

I can't understand why she put this story out there. It doesn't help her at all, in fact, it's pretty ugly.
