Cheney's Lesbian Daughter - Remember Kerry's Reference In A Debate?

I think this is another reason why Obama's strong statement that attacking Palin for her daughter's pregnancy is not going to be part of his campaign was a very smart move. I do think it is fair game to address Palin's stances on sex education, abortion and contraception, particularly since Feminists For Life, the group that she is affiliated with, has given mixed signals regarding whether contraception is okay, particularly birth control pills.

discussing pregnancy of Palin's daughter as a part of his campaign.

Made a comment about her in the VP debate that they turned back on him. Kerry may have also, but I only remember Edwards doing it.

3. I remember an excruciatingly uncomfortable reference Edwards made in

the VP debate. It was such a transparent attempt to get the "Cheney's daughter is a lesbian" statement out there.

Although lots of Dems felt that Cheney was flummoxed, I felt he owned it and shut it right down. I was embarrassed for us.

4. The trick is to pull a page from the republican play book.

Obama and his inner circle can stay above this, while the punditry and the and "whisper campaign" cleans his opponent's clock.
