Sarah Palin, Oh How I Love Thee for VP... special props go out to the McCain Campaign
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 04:56 PM by RollWithIt
I remember just four years ago, sitting dejected in my chair after Kerry conceded. The Republicans were so on top of their game. A combination of strong ground game and rabid base and Kerry (or his surrogates) lack of offensive attacks doomed our ticket to make it just close enough for the election to be stolen. I was ready to stop paying attention to politics at that time. Ready to give up. Ready to throw in my towel. Why? Because I was sick and tired of my side being too weak kneed to attack, relentlessly, in our Presidential campaigns. I considered us to be weak on campaign strategy and weak kneed when attacks were most needed. Tired of hearing about how we shouldn't say this or we shouldn't say that.

Ladies and gentleman, let me tell you something. I was born and raised in Akron Ohio. I spent my first 20 years in that state. I watched the Republican Party from Bob Taft to George Bush cut off funding for basically everything, refuse to offer incentives to businesses to stay in the state, and basically drive out at least 25% of the under 35 crowd from the State (some estimates are higher). Until Sherrod Brown in 2006, no Democrat had the guts to stand up and fight like cats and dogs until the end. Ya, there are the Kucinich types, but they're in heavy Democratic districts.

Anyways, I DIGRESS. I love this choice of Sarah Palin. I'm sitting here watching the first few hours of the Republican convention. Because of the far left of my party, she is under fire from all angles. The question of her own pregnancy has led to the disclosure that her 17 year old daughter is Pregnant. So much for abstinence only education. Because of stinging criticism from my side, she's forced to hire a lawyer to defend herself in the troopergate scandal.

Let me tell you something. We're just getting started. Don't blame me. Don't blame the left or the blogs. Blame John McCain for being an idiot. He should have NEVER selected an unvetted candidate. Blame Sarah Palin for putting ambition above family. Her sone had a 2.0 GPA in High School, so they put him in the army. Happens all the time. But they used that politically too (9-11! 9-11!). Who knows what other personal dirt there is.

But that's just for the first 72 hours. By the end of this week there will be a dozen hard hitting stories gaining traction on her. It's like a bloggers best case scenario!

So Sarah Palin, sorry in advance, but we're not pulling any punches this time around. Only because in the end, it's always amusing for me to see Rethuglicans cry about the "meanie liberals being mean to us."

Sarah Paulin's sister divorced a state trooper (I think the name is Wooten) and during the divorce/custody proceedings proceeded to accuse him of doing a bunch of crappy stuff. Including "tasing" a nephew (the nephew (I think her son) asked him to and he set it on test or very low as confirmed by the original wiki). Anyways, Palin gets elected as Governor with like 200,000 votes (half the voting population of Summit County Ohio) after she was mayor of some town with 9000 (Only took her 950 votes to get elected Mayor)She starts calling a commissioner who is responsible for overseeing her ex brother in law. Overall, 20+ calls, he even tells them to stop. They fire him saying he's not a team player. No severance pay. They hire a new guy who is corrupt and under scandal, he has to quit in like a week, they give him $10K severance.

That's the basics of it. The trooper was suspended for 5 days but not fired for using his taser on a minor (his nephew that asked him to and he set it to low).
