It's NOT the ISSUES, "Stupid"! |
|
(This is a spin on "It's the economy, stupid", and not pointing fingers at anyone.)
The intelligent money is on Palin blowing up in McCain's face. But intelligent money lost 4 years ago, and 4 years before that. Eight years ago, intelligence lost to "morals", 4 years ago, intelligence lost to "fears and morals".
Well, we've finally got a candidate who squeaks in the morals department. But we still want to go with the issues... because that's where the "intelligent" money is.
A lot of voters throw intelligence right out of the window when they vote. So why do we keep trying to make them out to be "intelligent" or "logical"?
Let's imagine, for just one moment, that Palin appeals to the average mom and pop voter. WHAT'S THE STRATEGY????????????????
I'm starting to worry (yes, I'm always worried!) that we don't have a strategy to combat a Republican "feel good" candidate. And we are about to be out-"feel good"'ed by Palin.
So, let's envision walking down the street with our Obama gear on and hearing a group of folks talking about how much they love Palin, and think that McCain made a great choice, because she's such a nice, wholesome woman with the "right values" for our country. And ONE of them is on the fence.
How do we win that one back????

1. Your point is well taken. I think far too many Americans vote with their gut rather |
|
than their brains. And it leaves us all with indigestion.

2. The soap opera mentality has taken over. What happened to hurricane Gustave, |
|
the Iraq War, Iran and Korea? How about Russia, Georgia and the ECONOMY???
