David Brooks on the Newshour
When asked what was the general reaction of the Repubs at the convention to Palin, he said something like they were mostly ecstatic, especially the right wing. But he was saying that even though the delegates were over the moon, what he called a minority of voices, then he said about 40%, the voices of campaign PROFESSIONALS was of a little more concern. He said they wondered why he picked her because they wondered who he was going to gain that he did not already have. He said they felt this was going back to the "old Republican Party," when there was more of a need to compete for those voters in the middle. Even as he was holding back he revealed this much. I thought this was great! Did anyone else see this?
