To my friends and colleagues:

It has become ever more apparent that those who have maintained power in the United States are facing a - shall we say - "housecleaning" this November. The mood is clear, and despite our best efforts at manipulating the polls and the major headlines, we now see very little hope at stemming this tide of popular support for the interlopers.

The consequences will be catastrophic, of course. Shredding is commencing apace, however, in this digital age, there will no doubt be items uncovered which will harm our credibility. Those involved in the more overt manipulations are - at this very moment - pursuing refuge in the preplanned rendezvous points around the globe. Dick Rumsfeld has been preparing for our arrival for some time, having warned us with his incredible prescience that this day would, in fact, arrive.

For those of you who still have clean hands and do not face the threat of actual jail time, I can only offer this advice - simplistic as it may sound: "Know which side your bread is buttered on." The incoming administration has telegraphed its willingness to forgive - for a price. I suggest you take them up on their offer. Interviews will now be conducted to elicit actual truth, rather than the usual tactic of reinforcing the pre-distributed talking points. If you have "go-to" party members, it's perfectly acceptable to warn them of this change in protocol. Of course, it may mean finding an entirely new set of "go-to" party members, but - alas - such are the times in which we live.

There is but one threat greater than a change of administration, and that is a change in sources of information. Never, ever forget that WE ARE THE PRESS! WE control the distribution of information - not the government and certainly NOT THE BLOGGERS! Should the common folk realize that they can obtain accurate information by researching and vetting information for themselves, our entire basis of power is eliminated! This must not happen! It will not happen.

And one final word - for all of my good friends on Fox News. You're all fucked.
