My biggest fear right now: Palin withdraws from the ticket...

1. I just hung up with a political friend of mine
and he said EXACTLY the same thing. This needed to happen 6 weeks from now...mid October. Let's pray to the almighty "the one who didn't make it rain on Denver) that she sticks around another two weeks. Doubtful it will happen though.

11. It's a lose - lose for McDouchebagg at this point. Drop her: lose the base and
conceed that you can't make a good decision on the most basic issue. Keep her: well, we see where that's going...

12. Since Palin was announced, haven't the Fundies
dumped a HUGE amount of Money into the McCain
campaign?

Would they not be PISSED if Palin exits and a Romney

or Lieberman came on? (Pawlenty or Huckabee might be Ok
with them, however.)

4. I'm not worried because...
...firstly, I doubt she will withdraw.

Secondly, if she does withdraw, that will anger the base which is happy she's on the ticket.

So it's all good.

6. If she resigns from ticket it's a guarantee win for Obama
because McCain's judgement will be the issue of the campaign.

7. a withdrawal at any time is a ticket killer

all of the people that were passed over will refuse a second invite. Then the search goes on in public. If you were alive in 72 you will remember how agonizing it becomes. No one will take the ticket seriously if she resigns. Its over.

9. They've got to dump her tomorrow
IF they go to Wednesday, the entire PArty owns her and her secessionist past.

14. Past?
Caribu Barbie addressed the 2008 AIP Convention, sounds like she still subscribes to their platform.

Agreed, this is a win-win. McCain is totally fucked whether he keeps her or dumps her, and it's a total WIN that even if Rove steals another election, the fundie-nutjob won't be anywhere near the nuclear buttons.

10. What I'd really like to see happen
is I'd LOVE for her to hang in there long enough to debate Biden, who will mop the floor up with her ass (imagine a "What am I doing here?" Ross Perot VP moment!) and meanwhile all this stuff will just continue to seep out about her.

And then I'd love to see her suddenly need to attend to her family more right after that and withdraw her name.

16. I don't want to see her debate Joe. She is is not worthy.

17. Does anyone think that the "debate" will be anything other than a bunch of softball
questions for her and some nasty ones for Joe? Let's face it: for her, it will be about flag pins, hunting moose and the names of her kids. Debates are a joke.
