Poll question: Who Will Replace Palin |
|
Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 07:51 PM by IWantAnyDem
Being a member of a party that advocates secession, and attending said party's 1994 convention, insures Sarah Palin will not be on the ticket come November 4.
Who will replace her?

Huckabee made a clear point about "representing the right" when he campaigned. I think the Republicans could force him down McCain's throat, unless he turns it down.
Who knows, he might want to take his best shot in 2012...

just like Shriver after it has been offered no one will want it but they will love turning it down. If they accept it then it means that they were not as desirable as Palin.
Meg Whitman or Carla Fiorina are a couple that might work and have the right plumbing that McCain seeks for the job.

8. No, I don't think there will be another woman on the ticket, if Tundra Barbie is out. |
|
Gramps is already being accused of "tokenism" as it is. If he replaces one woman who 99% of the country never heard of with another woman 99% of the country never heard of, it's only two obvious.
Not to mention sacking Sarah will piss off the fundies. I think they would be able to live with Holy Joe, because even though they might have a disagreement with him about whether the Messiah is about to make a first appearance or a comeback tour, both are looking forward to the Middle East becoming one huge pool of blood, Armegeddon style.

15. It'll Be Joe -- Romney Won't Touch the #2 Slot On This Train Wreck Of A Ticket! |
|
This ticket is hopelessly ruined by so many missteps that reflect badly on McCain, the Nominee.
Lieberman will likely be the only one who would jump at the #2 Slot at this point.
I think Romney would have nothing to do with McCain after obviously being passed over for such a loser as Palin. What is he going to say when everyone knows he was extensively vetted for weeks and purposely passed over for selection? Does he have any self-respect?
Huckabee might jump if he thought they could win, but now the right wing fundies are upset. Cannot win without them.

I doubt any capable Republican would kill their career in such a way.
Lieberman is the only one stupid enough to do it.

McCain is to stubborned to drop Palin. But if he did, he and JoeMentum would try to graciously finish the election and try and salvage the republican image for the next time around.

Edited on Mon Sep-01-08 10:17 PM by rebel with a cause
dick will decide he is still best for the job or rove will decide he is tired of being the unseen man behind and wants to be the seen man behind the president. :sarcasm:
Edited to add: I don't think she will be replaced, I think she will get a major cover up job and come out with unprovable scandals that will be covered with "mother of five" just as mccain is with "POW".
