6. I went to a friend's for a potluck today (my peach pies were a BIG hit, lol),

and one of the two RWers there tried to basically tell me this, that every family has kids havings kids out of wedlock.

I was like, WTF? I told him we didn't have any ANYWHERE in my family, even in the borderline trailer trash branch that my BIL's sister founded. Because we ALL know the value of proper sex education and access to birth control.

He hadn't heard that Palin was a "no sex ed in schools, leave it all to the parents" nut, so I opened his eyes on that. I also told him she was opposed to abortion in the case of rape or incest and he opened them even wider.

Baby steps, guys, baby steps. Just keep chipping away.
