Anderson Cooper is talking to Obama on CNN re. hurricane
Obama sounding very Presidential, raising wetlands legislation and concerns over how slow Bush admin has been to rebuild NOLA.

1. I've seen the pics of Obama on the phone with Michael Chertoff.
Obama looks so presidential. I am confident the country will be in good hands under his leadership.

10. I was wishing that he would have said that McAss voted against Katrina funding...
that would have been the icing on the cake.

3. Asked about McCain visiting the area, why not Obama
Obama points out when he went to the Iowa flood area he learned his secret service requirements have become so big they take too many local law enforcement resources that can be used to help people. In other words, he is unselfish and doesn't want to use up valuable resources just for political reasons.

8. He did great.
Anderson asked why he didn't go to the scene of flooding immediately. Obama said he didn't go directly there b/c the Secret Service has to coordinate with local law enforcement and he didn't want to take resources away from people who need them just for a photo op.

13. Obama again did the right thing
So where is McCain? I thought he busy abbreviating the RNC so he could take charge down in NOLA, but I haven't seen a word from him. Not even a photo. Have seen Bush, now have seen Obama.

But not the man who postponed the RNC purportedly because he wanted to be compassionately on the scene to help. Now that is wierd too.
