So much for this election being a referendum on Barack Obama
The Republicans were doing a pretty good job at first in making this election a referendum on Obama and portraying him as the risky pick. Now McCain has ruined the Republican Party's talking points about Obama being risky, Obama being inexperienced, Obama not being prepared, etc.. I think this is a huge boost for Obama.

1. No shit, this turned into a W-T-F-Palin thing overnight.
This will go down in history as the worst and most shocking VP choice ever. Mark my words.

4. Wasn't that the main thing Rachel Maddow was fretting about?
I think the masterful convention put to rest any reasonable doubts about Obama's leadership skills. Meanwhile McCrash just went and opened up the biggest can of doubt ever.:rofl::evilgrin:

5. Rachel has to be ecstatic
This is PRECISELY what she was worried about, but now she can rest at ease. This election has taken a sharp pivot and is right now a referendum on Palin and John McCain's judgment for picking her.
