I think the McCain communications director really stretched the truth about Palin on NPR tonite
Tonight on NPR's All Things Considered, Robert Siegal kept asking McCain-Palin campaign communications director Jill Hazelbaker about Sara Palin's world travel (re: foreign-policy experience) ... asking whether she's traveled to foreign countries (ASIDE from checking on Alaska Natn'l Guardsmen in Kuwait and Germany) and which ones she's traveled to. And Hazelbaker kept saying "of COURSE she has" (traveled overseas)-- making it sound like Palin's a world traveler. But Hazelbaker refused to say where and when she traveled. Pressed again by Siegal, Hazelbaker said again, "of course she has," but still provided no details.

BUT: The Times (UK) story about Palin's many problems says this:

Infrequent flyer

— Sarah Palin travelled to Germany and Kuwait last year to visit Alaska National Guard troops

— She reportedly had to apply for a passport especially for the trip

— Mrs Palin has been to Canada, and engaged in negotiations about building a natural gas pipeline from Alaska through Canada

— Until recently US citizens did not need a passport to go to Canada

— Mrs Palin has also visited Ireland

SO ... "of COURSE she has" (traveled overseas besides her National Guard trips) means she went to Ireland and Canada??? Big friggin' deal.

2. Ohhhh I should find the online version of that interview.
NPR is good about having a current archive. :) I want to hear that.

Thanks for the heads up on this story. :)

7. You're a life saver. I've had to take percocet in the evenings
to counter the pain of a now non-functioning gall bladder until it can be removed. I couldn't find the link on my own in my drug induced stupor.

And she wants to be an elderly heartbeat from the presidency.

8. Oh LORD! When asked about the travel,
she says that Palin has a son going to Iraq soon. :wtf: I hate the way they dance around questions. Good grief.
