Would a member of a secessionist group EVER be given Top Secret clearance? |
|
Yet not only do the rethugs want to put a secessionist in the White House, they want to give her access to the nuclear launch codes?
And these fucking idiots call Obama the "Manchurian Candidate".

But there's no telling what McCain & his crew would do considering their VP pick. Remember, it boils down to judgement and after Palin, we know they don't have much of it.

3. I doubted whther she was actually a member of the AIP |
|
until I found out that the FBI had not conducted a background check.
She's disqualified from a top secret security clearance because of her membership in the AIP.

6. Doesn't being a President or VP trump a FBI security clearance? |
|
This is the big problem here. IF McCain were elected, both he and Palin would have to be given access to highly classified materials.
There's nothing in the Constitution that says you have to pass a FBI background check to be qualified to be President. She's over 35, and a natural born citizen of the US, that's all she technically needs.
I find it scary as fuck that someone who can't even get a Top Secret clearance will be given access to the most classified secrets in this country, AND will have access to the nuclear launch codes.

7. Absolutely, which is why serious political campaigns run the FBI check |
|
They don;t want to know later on.

8. Family members don't lose out on clearance because of sibling membership |
|
But the sibling who is a member could enver get a clearance.

You know, Alaska recognizes the AIP as an actual political party like the Democrats and Republicans. Would that still disqualify members of the group from getting clearance? Curious now...
