You do know that if the McCain Campaign would have just let Obama have the spotlight
last Thursday without trying to muscle in on the Media coverage, they would have been able to vet the woman. They could have waited until Tuesday to make the Announcement.

And if the McCain campaign wasn't so beholden to the crazies in the Christian Right, he could have selected his own running mate. And this is another thing about McCain, he wants approval, all the time and doesn't care what he has to do in order to get it.

They also could have discovered all the crap that she had lingering in her life (Jesus, I didn't want to run again because I had a few skeletons in my closest. This Piece of Work seems to have a whole graveyard).

And what was she thinking. That she could hide her past from the Media, the blogs, the FBI? She surely has as poor a sense of judgment as McCain.

They say things happen for a reason. Maybe all of this is aligning for some cosmic kismet that gives us Obama. I could be wrong, but not since the McGovern Convention have I seen such a fiasco. I don't think we will ever see something as bizarre as this in our lifetimes.

1. I read somewhere that McCain loves to shoot craps.
You take a big risk with everybody watching and you win big if you're lucky. This decision of his fits, doesn't it?

This article (wish I could recall what it was) also said that Obama likes to play poker. Where you keep your information to yourself until you win. That also fits.

7. They had to step on the news cycle
a long weekend of talking about the issues would have sunk them as sure as any VP debacle. Now they can fight for another day.
