Bloggers investigations started the ball rolling on Sarah Palin |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 02:19 AM by Mortos
I know there are a lot of people here who say that certain topics are off limits and that we shouldn't stoop to their level...but.
Bloggers prodded the media into reporting the pregnancy oddities and that, in turn, forced Palin to announce that her 17 year old unmarried daughter was pregnant (which may or may not be true).
Obama has demanded his staff not participate in any politicization of his opponent's families. WE AREN'T ON OBAMA'S STAFF!
We can and should do whatever is neccessary to keep the media investigating any and every aspect of Sarah Palin.
Some worry about how this makes DU look. To whom? We are already portrayed as left wing nuts by most in the media and all of the right wingers. So, who cares what they think of us?
I am fairly confident that there is more to this story than has been revealed and the only way the truth will be exposed is to keep up the pressure, keep digging and keep putting information out here.
There is no way McCain's camp new about this prior to selecting Palin. They have been intentionally vague or deceptive about when they learned this issue and who told them (they are lying).
We have the benefit of hundreds of keenly interested motivated people to vet this pathetically unqualified person and dig up the truth that McCain recklessly ignored and the media is too lazy to find out.
Keep on digging DU'ers. Never give in.

I think we did as much hard work on breaking this story--how can we go about getting more attention to ourselves?

9. He said his SUPPORTERS, not staff. |
|
“How a family deals with issues and teenage children, that shouldn't be the topic of our politics and I hope that anybody who is supporting me understands that’s off-limits.”

12. He also said he would fire any member of his STAFF that did this |
|
I am not a member of his staff so that gives me a bit of autonomy in what I do with my spare time.

13. Yes, we did good!!! And just in time. |
|
We (all) knocked down the dissing of Obama at this RNC convention quite a bit (and so did the hurricane). And now, with the scandals opened up, Larry King will be having all Dem commentators for the convention every night this week and they'll have lots to talk about. He's seen by a lot of people. Perfect!
'Well done' to all the Dem internet researchers/writers. I agree, the 'play nice' pressure is just so we'll unilaterally disarm. BTDT. This just proves that vetters need as much help as they can get! We can't always trust it to somebody else doing it.
Besides, if something is of interest to us, it will be to other people too.
