All day, everyday. This lady is DANGEROUS. Not just inexperienced, but pure DANGEROUS because, like Cheney, all she cares about is power.

33. There are recent comments by Palin that show the trend continues...
When Palin did her most recent press conference which revealed the audio tape of her commissioners pushing to fire a trooper after she stated no pressure was ever applied, she admitted one reason she fired Alaska's top cop was because he wasn't supporting 'the administration' and her policies. Basically his comments and actions were on a different page compared to Palin's administration.

An audio recording of this estimated 60 minute press conference is out there as it was on multiple radio stations. If you search for it, you should be able to find it rather easily.

This is exactly the change Palin brings to the table good ole fascism. It's automatic that is the GOP's corporate fascists, theocrats, and neocon deepest fringes are beaming and in the tank 110% off the bat, that you are clearly dealing with one of the truly disturbed wackos that represent the very worse in politics. The lot of crazies that would lead the world into a new dark age.

61. She really sounds like a vindictive old ideologue.
Banning books, alienating museum workers, drawing lawsuits -- what on God's green Earth was McCain thinking when picked Sarah Palin? She sounds as crazy as the rat from you-know-where.

http://www.nytimes.com/2008/09/03/us/politics/03wasilla.html?ei=5070

Ann Kilkenny, a Democrat who said she attended every City Council meeting in Ms. Palin’s first year in office, said Ms. Palin brought up the idea of banning some books at one meeting. “They were somehow morally or socially objectionable to her,” Ms. Kilkenny said.

The librarian, Mary Ellen Emmons, pledged to “resist all efforts at censorship,” Ms. Kilkenny recalled. Ms. Palin fired Ms. Emmons shortly after taking office but changed course after residents made a strong show of support. Ms. Emmons, who left her job and Wasilla a couple of years later, declined to comment for this article.

Librarians are often our first line of defense in the protection of the First Amendment. Do not mess with them.

49. Joesph Stalin
http://www.washingtonindependent.com/3767/palin-involved-in-ousting-scandals-from-the-start

If a small-town mayor ever ruled with an iron fist — it was Palin. Eleven days after taking office in 1996, she mailed letters to each of the city’s top managers requesting that they resign as a test of loyalty.

The Anchorage Daily News at the time reported the strange events: (via Nexis)

Mayor Sarah Palin sent the resignation requests Thursday to Police Chief Irl Stambaugh, public works director Jack Felton, finance director Duane Dvorak and Mary Ellen Emmons, the head of libraries. A fifth director — John Cooper, who oversaw the city museum — resigned earlier this month after Palin eliminated his position.

Cooper initially resisted resigning, but to no avail. Palin also later fired the police chief, saying she knew in her “heart” that he did not support her. She left the head of libraries a letter saying she was out — though Palin later decided to spare the librarian after being convinced that she would tow the line.
