Morning Joe: John Meacham says: "I Take It They Googled Her, but I Don't Have Any Evidence of That"

John Meacham (Newsweek) on Morning Joe just said that in regards to the McCain Campaign vetting of Palin.

Says that while there are 'unfair' discussions about Palin, there are some valid real concerns about her political background. Says they totally blew it if the Media is uncovering this much stuff. States that it's a serious political issue and questions whether she will remain the pick.

Joe asks if that has ever happened before.

Meacham says we have a chance to do something right and should avoid the personal stuff. We have a chance to impress the public with a kind of dignity while uncovering the bombshell.

Both Joe and Mika say: "LIKE OBAMA".

That was the moment I realized McCain is truly done assuming the AIP and poor decision on this get the press time they deserve..

1. "Has it ever happened before?" Scarborough doesn't know about Thomas Eagleton?
That's about par for the course.

2. ooh, did Meacham say what the other "stuff" that they are finding out about was?
Maybe Joe really IS clueless, and thinks that the "baby story" is all that we have on her, haha.

4. For the millionth time, her daughter's pregnancy isn't personal stuff
We're talking about the Party of abstinence, no abortion rights and the elimination of the barriers between church and state here. There's absolutely no questioning the legitimacy of this issue.

5. Abstinance-only birth control is an issue. Not Palin's daughter
