Media accepts McCain's thesis that to stop Sarah Palin rumors they had to out her daughter |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 08:17 AM by flpoljunkie
The 'reasoning' here is absurd. The clueless and complicit media swallows the Republican talking points whole. It is quite remarkable when you think about it.
Why couldn't the McCain camp just release the birth certificate for Sarah Palin's youngest child, Tag? End of discussion. No throwing the daughter under the bus. The idiots on MSNBC's Morning Joe are pretending the liberal media outed the daughter when it was the McCain campaign themselves who released the statement about Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter's pregnancy.
One or two of those on MORNING JOE today are trying to make the point this is about McCain's judgment and impulsiveness--not the pregnancy of her 17 year old daughter. I wholeheartedly agree with this assessment.

How many parents in the real world have put off a transfer or promotion because their children were at an awkward age or entrenched in a school program. Millions, I am sure. These are the values of good parents.

Embarrass and possibly traumatize her daughter for life - to save her political ass. Shameless.

of scrutiny whether it is John McCain's adopted daughter or this pregnant teen.
If Democrats want to attack the abortion/abstinent meme fine.
I didn't like the Larry Craig bathroom explosion either.
I accept conservatives are hypocrits. I don't accept that we have to exploit their hypocrisy for our policy gain. Their heads are in the clouds by everyone else's personal suffering. Our hearts should be in the right place with their wretching personal failings.
Obama was right to point out his Mama was a teenager when she carried him and also to say families are off limits. I don't want to hear the right utter a mumbling word on Michelle, Sasha, and Aaliyah.
