8. Disagree. They shape much of the media narrative.
If Obama is doing poorly, the media echo chamber plays up the fact that he is doing poorly, thereby increasing the perception he is underperforming. If he's doing well, they can't do this.

I'll put my neck out and say Obama wins 54% to 42%, with 3% voting Libertarian and 1% voting Green or Nader. We will control 57 Senate seats, and increase our House majority.
