I PRAY that he drops her from the ticket. please please please!!!
First... I want him to drop her because she is a right wing nut. Man, it's bad when her abortion policy makes Bush and McCain's look moderate. (No abortion exceptions for rape?! W T F)

Second... think how wonderful it would be if he dropped from the ticket. Think of the media storm. Think of the damage to his campaign. This thing would essentially be over. :)

But, why would he drop her? Well there are plenty of things going wrong:

1. Baby-gate (personally I don't think this should affect people's decision in this election. But, you know this puts voters off.

2. The fact that she was part of the Alaskan Independence Party.

3. Her problems brewing with the Jewish community.

4. The media narrative is strongly against her. This isn't caused by the made up "liberal bias" it's more that McCain's ploy to shock the media/country with his pick caused a panic in the media. (aka who is she? what are her scandals?) The media is hitting her hard. McCain didn't give the media the warm up time for this pick.

5. Trooper-gate. It doesn't matter if it comes through or not. The fact that she is under investigation is damaging in itself.

6. The strong reek of desperation that this pick puts out.

She is hurting his campaign....and she is hurting it badly. In fact the only good thing about the pick is that she would get good press after her debate with Biden. All she has to do in the debate is not mix up the names of foreign leaders and the media will give her glowing reviews.

It's pretty clear that the McCain campaign didn't do their homework on her. Politico reported that in doing their research the media has found out that no one has vetted Palin. No one from the McCain campaign scoured the news papers in Alaska. It seems that McCain picked her last minute on an impulse. (maybe they were panicked by the convention numbers Obama was starting to get)

Please, please, please!!! Let him drop her.

1. He can't drop her but the party bigwigs can force her to resign
and make it look like her decision.

2. I think I'd prefer she stay on the ticket
He'd be hard pressed to find someone worse. And if she's off, he may just pick someone more competent or experienced (although a right-winger for sure), who might ACTUALLY win him some votes.

7. I'd prefer he drop her...

It'd be campaign suicide. Doesn't matter who he picks at that point, he's toast. If he picks Romney, Guiliani, Pawlenty, or Huckabee...he loses many female low-information voters who liked the choice for non-political reasons like she's a mother or she's a woman. Same is true of Ridge or Lieberman with the added bonus of losing the base.

If he replaces her with another woman, he's either got to go the same route and choose someone off the radar or choose a moderate like Snowe and alienate the base.

When you're in a rapidly-sinking two-person canoe, does it really matter if you throw the other person overboard?

Edit: I'm guessing that he's too dumb to choose Kay Bailey Hutchinson, who has been loyal and supportive to him and has good conservative credentials.
