There I said it.

I don't see how she is some big hero because she found out her baby has Down's and didn't get rid of it. Geesh, she is a mother she did what most mothers do everyday. The thing is those mother's don't have teen kids to help with child rearing.. they aren't the gov of a state where they CAN bring their children to work or take whatever days off they want for doctor appts. There are women who are SINGLE mothers who are raising down's children on their own.

To Sara Palin I say BIG DEAL..

3. I know! She is not the only mom with a Down's child. I wish Dems
with Down's children would speak out and say, "Look, I kept my kid too." By watching the media, it would seem like she is the first woman to have a child with Downs.

4. I know
and Down's doesn't have the stigma it use to. It's not the 1950's. People are pretty loving and accepting. So many children out there have rare disease, and autism. It's hard finding someone who doesn't have something wrong with their child health wise. I have 3 kids and one of them has a rare kidney disease (she is fine though)

5. I think because 90% of down sydrome babies get aborted
this makes her more of a hero in the fundies mind.

I dislike the way they use the poor kid. I was reading an article praising her and they said 'she's pro life and she's got the baby to prove it'. Its a child not a badge of honor to show how pro life you are!

6. I wish there would be a medical expert
interviewed who would explain that the possibility of a woman giving birth to a baby with Down's Syndrome increases dramatically after the age of 35.

That is fact. And in many women's minds, this fact would weigh heavily on any decision to become pregnant at the age of 43 or 44 in the first place.

7. Not aborting your child is NOT a qualification for VP! It is not part
of your resume. But I guess when PTA is at the top of the her reume... The PTA thing bothers me too. My mom was active in PTA. She was active in PTA mainly because other parents were not interested. Palin probably got PTA President by default. She probably was the only parent that showed to the meeting. And one again, being PTA president is NOT a qualification for President. If she was applying for any other job with this stuff on her resume, her application would be in garbage.
