1. Has Palin formally renounced her membership in the Alaskan Independence Party
and renounced their beliefs? That certainly would be in order now and would also help to keep the story in the forefront.

4. I draw the line at clicking Drudge
I'll even go to Freak Republic, but Drudge is just too damned rich from click-throughs to justify going there, in my mind.

I am interested in knowing what some righties might be saying about a militant secessionist running for VP. They ok with that?

So what do we know so far about Sarah Palin?

She joined a party with the moto "Alaska First".
The party founder Joe Vogler was buried in Canada because he refused to be buried on American soil. And he is quoted as saying:
"I'm an Alaskan, not an American. I've got no use for America or her damned institutions."
That's the party she willingly joined.

And when Palin was asked about being the VP pick earlier in the year, her answer was:
We wanna make sure that that VP slot would be a fruitful type of position, especially for Alaskans
www.youtube.com

Especially for Alaskans? It's that last quote that interests me the most. Exactly what did she mean by that? Alaska first, America second? I think it's a serious question where Sarah Palin's loyalties lie.

On edit...I cut and pasted this from drudge

8. That's a discussion that's about 4 anti-Palin posts for every pro-Palin one
which seems surprising, for Drudge - or maybe it's indicative of general reaction?

Anyway, here's one remark from there worth considering:

Holy shit. This is the reason Sarah Palin flew back to Alaska while she was in labor.
I'm not kidding, this is a quote from her husband:

Todd Palin's reason for making those potentially life and death decisions about his wife and unborn son? "You cant have a fish-picker from Texas."

They didn't want their son born in Texas, because then he wouldn't be a real Alaskan

Yeah, they do sound a bit secessionist.
