These aren't direct quotes:

"I did lots of crazy things in my youth."

"What's wrong with being Independent?"

"The Democrats are practically Marxists anyway."

And of course:

"Obama sat in that church pew for TWENTY YEARS..."

2. They're good at red herrings and straw men.
How do they explain Palin's address to the AIP convention earlier this year in which she tells them to "keep up the good work"?

How can you lead America, when you were part of a group that never wanted to be a part of it in the first place..."

7. How about they are UNPATRIOTIC????
Could you imagine if BO was a member of a group that wanted Illinois to secede from the US? He would never made it to the Senate nonetheless the Dem nomination for POTUS.

They are an unpatriotic group and Sarah Palin is unpatriotic also. Pass the word.

8. Secessionism is ten times more offensive than radical thought.
She was part of group that wanted to find ways to leave the union. That's a direct threat to national security. I'm surprised those punks aren't scared of the magnitude of that. She's a full blown threat to national security based on her past associations that was not her youth but adult life and she addressed them in thanks to their support for Alaska earlier this year.

That's doubly a problem, because she may not have the position as a member any longer, she fully supports their views and has said as much in videos. She's not protective of the nation but actually Alaska. Unless they plan on living in The United States of Alaska if something (God forbid) should happen to McCain, so he cannot carry out his duties, then by all means depend, love and admire all things Palin.

16. Like McCain said at the convention, Republicans aren't real Americans.
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 09:57 AM by gatorboy
They just wore the American hat temporarily to look concerned about the hurricane. After that, it was off with the American hats and back to the Republican ones.

Hey, don't look at me! McCain said it!

19. This is the Palin story that made me stop laughing...

This one is not funny, but deadly serious.

In the other videos of the meeting Palin addressed, their leader goes on to explain how AIP cultists can join other political parties in order to infiltrate and advance in power.

It fits right in with the rest of her "what does the VP do?" video where she explains that she'd do it if she can directly benefit Alaska.

I know we're not supposed to "question the candidates' patriotism", but the AIP stuff is objectively that. These people oppose the United States of America.

That's just not amusing, a "gaffe", or "an embarrassing revelation". How in the hell does a secessionist, or a secessionist sympathizer, end up on the national ticket of any serious political party?

And what will she do if elected?

I don't care if she wants to marry off every teen in the country in a shotgun wedding but, c'mon, is it too much to ask that candidates support the union of these United States?
