Palin family body language at the announcement
Before there was even speculation about whether the baby was Sarah's or Bristol's, before it was even announced Bristol was pregnant I saw body language I didn't feel comfortable with during the announcement when the whole family was on the stage.

Neither Todd nor Sarah paid any attention to the baby. Don't you think a proud father would have been carrying the baby instead of the baby's sibling? Never once did Sarah go over and even pat the baby on the head to acknowledge he was there. John McCain did. Even the old crabby guy did that. Todd and Sarah completely ignored the baby as if it wasn't theirs and he was someone elses responsibility.

1. The husband looks like some barhand.
The oldest daughter was holding the infant to conceal her own pregnant stomach.

3. In all fairness, I've seen many siblings carrying their baby sibs at these things
Democratic and Republican alike. I'd have to see the footage for myself to make a more informed opinion... do you have a link? :)

5. What an interesting observation.
I wasn't looking for that at all, I was just too shocked and appalled at the pick and announcement, plus studying the very narrow camera angles used for the less than 10k people there. I never even bothered to watch the Palins and how they reacted.

But now my stomach churns knowing what I know of the situation. I feel terrible that Trig's special needs are to be seen by such shitty parents, and Bristol... life must truly be hell for her. Those two have my sympathies and support, the parents, however, don't.

6. The baby was a prop to hide her baby-bump....
I feel so sorry for the daughter, as if having a mother who gave her practically no choice in her own reproductive decisions wasn't bad enough, now she is under a microscope...

9. it was upsetting seeing that poor baby out in the sun and heat

plastered against the front of that girl. I suspected something was up because the baby was never moved from that position. people holding infants move them around a lot. the whole front of her must have been wet with sweat.

I wondered if they didn't want a camera shot of the baby's face?

what awful parents.
