Do you think insurance coverage plays into this situation? |

A 17 YO would not have health insurance coverage for their baby. I would imagine a downs syndrome baby needs lots of medical care over the years. Do you think Sarah and Todd pretended it was their baby to keep him insured?

still, ostensibly, a student so as long as she remains unmarried she is covered, and her dependent child would also be covered.
Now if they were to marry, most policies would require the daughter and child to be dropped.
So in that regard using Sarah as the faux mommy would have an advantage regarding care of the baby, who is going to be a high needs child.
