Can we get back to the issues instead of this smoke and mirrors....
This teen pregnancy story has little relevance to the big issues this country is facing -- the economy, the war in Iraq, the environment, alternative energies, health care.....

Let's stop playing the GOP's game of ignoring the real issues. Let's follow Obama's lead here.

2. The issue is that McCain is unfit to serve.
And his selection of Sarah Palin is evidence of that. When handed a gaping wound in their image, we should press the advantage until they are lying on the floor mortally wounded. The GOP's game is attack attack attack attack, and it works much better than A Dukakis style issue of the day campaign.

5. The undecideds' vote isn't based on the issue
If they did, there wouldn't be any republicans.

This kind of stuff influences their vote. At this point, we have to make McCain/Palin look silly.

7. parallels to bush
This closely as anything ties McSame to Bush-the appointment of political hacks, a disrespect for competence in govt, ties to right wing extremists, and general laziness and lack of critical thinking. This appointment pulls it into focus for some independents who haven't been paying a lot of attention.
