I'm glad I can cheer on the Clintons again |
|
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 10:44 AM by Armstead
This is a little late, but since I was real hard on the Clintons during the primaries, I gotta say thank goodness I can cheer on Bill and Hillary again, and thank goodness I can appreciate James Carville's fangs again.
Bill tossed the ball to Barak with amazing skill and finesse last week at the convention. He framed the real choices in this election beautifully. As did Hillary the night before.
It was also a wonderful pleasure last night to watch James Carville tear into a GOP Clone about the real issues related to McCain's pick of Palin.
I'm glad we on the same team again.

2. I'd add Begala, and, especially, Wasserman-Schultz, too |
|
Must be fun for them, too, to attack dipshit Republicans instead of Obama.

5. There's a reason Dukakis, Bill Clinton, Gore and Kerry wouldn't give her a spotlight. |
|
She has always been more damaging to the Democratic party than helpful. In her own backyard, her name is synonymous with "corruption".

6. IMO, the Clintons wanted to change the narrative from "Kennedy passing torch to Obama" that was the |
|
talk of the convention, to "Clintons passing torch to Obama" as if the decision was all theirs.
Unfortunately, even for many Democrats here, that tactic worked thanks to the corporate media and its established Clinton camp spokespeople in front of every network camera giantizing the entire Clinton saga. Kennedy? Oh yeah....him.

7. Actually, I think it was a progression.. |
|
IMO the appearance of Teddy gave the effect of synthesizing the values Teddy represents with the party of the Clinton, and created a synthesis of Obama as bringing them together.
Maybe there's an element of smoke and mirrors in that, but at this point I figure anything that keeps the Bush/McCain out of the White House is fine with me.
I'd sure ratrher have ol' Bill out there chewing the scenery to advance a goal I can support than the chronic stomach ache the primaries gave me.
