We need to find out what books Sarah Palin wanted removed from the Wasilla Library.
I've seen several references to this including the fact that she fired the librarian becuae she refused to give in to this censorship. We need details!

10. Tell me about it.
McCain winning has become an extremely scary scenario, more so than it was just a few weeks ago.

13. I read it too, over the weekend but don't remember where.
The librarian didn't want to be identified but said that her job was threatened because she wasn't cooperating with Palin's policy. It sounded a lot like the trooper story.

12. She tried to fire the City librarian (with link)
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 10:55 AM by boreDem
Wasilla resident Anne Kilkenny:

"While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire our highly respected City Librarian because the Librarian refused to consider removing from the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palin's attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew her termination letter. People who fought her attempt to oust the Librarian are on her enemies list to this day."

building a sports complex that isn't free to the public!
