"She's a Nice Enough Woman, but She Doesn't Share My Values"
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 12:13 PM by qwlauren35
I've been thinking of a safe way to combat Palin to people who like her. This is what I came up with. My mom was basically crying to me this morning because a friend of hers said that Palin is playing well in her nursing home - "She feels familiar - like one of us - I can relate to her".

Response...
*** I can't quite accept the "no abortion pill after rape" position.

*** I can't accept the idea of someone shooting wolves from a helicopter for sport.

***I prefer Obama's energy plan. She just wants to stay with Oil.

***She seems a bit power hungry to me. I don't think I'd take a 5 month old on a presidential campaign trail.

Those are the first ones that come to mind.

then I had to wonder if she was TRYING to kill her baby."

3. Not to generalize but most of those nursing home folks would have voted McCain no matter what.
Just sayin'...

5. The fence sitters I know figuratively threw up when he proposed her as VP.
The one in my family did. As did two at the office.

6. Thanks.
I think that will reassure my mom. She's been a bit freaked out.

She had me at 40 so she's tapped into a pretty different demographic of voters than I am. By a long shot. Most women her age aren't feminist at all. She's sort of ahead of her time.
