Today's polls are SWEEEETTT
Edited on Tue Sep-02-08 01:19 PM by darius15

Recent Polls:
Gallup- Obama 50, McCain 42
Rasmussen- Obama 51, McCain 45
USA Today- Obama 50, McCain 43
Hotline- Obama 48, McCain 39
CBS- Obama 48, McCain 40

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2008/latestpolls/index.html

Notice how every poll has Obama polling low 50's or high 40's, and every poll has McCain in the low 40's or high 30's, except Rasmussen, which is a Republican leaning pollster.

:bounce::bounce:

It looks like our hard work and donations are paying off. Way to go everybody!

4. Ruh roh.
Rasmussen is a favorite of Sean Hannity. Wonder how he'll spin this?

Oh, wait, he won't spin it. He'll avoid it.

13. I'll do you one better
I won't be happy until the polls are like this on election eve.

If they are, then the GOP won't be able to steal it.

19. We always must remember
- Diebold machines
- Voter purges
- Bad machines in NM's Hispanic/Native American areas registering no vote for President!
- Provisional ballot schemes
- Voter intimidation tactics

That's why I'd like to see a nice Obama lead, and to be prepared this time.

14. I agree with that
but Obama got a higher convention bounce than normal. Usually a convention bounce is around 5-6 percent. Before the convention, Obama and McCain were tied. Now Obama is up by 7-9 points in all these polls. McCain will have a lot of work to do, especially with the first day of the Repub convention gone because of Gustav. Plus, the Palin controversy, etc. McCain has a long uphill climb from here, which is why I'm excited. I think he's at a delicate time of his candidacy where one more scandal could see his poll numbers drop significantly and ruin his chances of becoming POTUS.

"Obama's DNC bounce smaller than others and shrinking"

Spin, spin, spin.

15. I agree. Now that the convention is back on, the "maverick" may be revived thanks to
Lieberman :eyes: and Palin might just give a great speech (which I'm sure will be fact-checked but won't stop some people from believing her "compelling story.")
