Fuck, if the freepers can make a big deal of Obama's church, then I say that we should examine the church that has helped to shape Sarah Palin's belief system.

http://www.wasillaag.org/

Be sure to check out the "What we Believe" page: http://wasillaag.org/index.php?s=au&nid=3734

Here are a few goodies...

<snip>
WE BELIEVE... The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is Speaking in Tongues

WE BELIEVE...in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. At that time many in the nation of Israel will recognize and accept Him as the Messiah, the Savior who died for them and all mankind.

WE BELIEVE...A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
<snip>

And don't forget to donate to the church via PayPay! http://wasillaag.org/index.php?nid=3723&s=rs

8. Maybe they should be looking for crabs instead
I grew up in a church like this. Trust me, Sarah Palin's daughter isn't a lone exception. You'd be surprised how many fundie kids wind up getting pregnant.

16. Even her new church is a fundie "speaking in tongues" anti-gay church
She did spend quite a bit of time at the Assemblies of God Church, although she appears to have moved on to Wasilla Bible Church.

Doesn't matter. Different church, same thing. And when she is in Juneau, she does attend an Assemblies of God Pentecostal church.

<snip>
Kalnins (her pastor) guessed that about half of the people in his church have the gift of tongues. He has it himself, he says, though he rarely demonstrates it. "It's not meant to be shown off," he said. "It's not like flexing muscles. I received the gift in college, and it transformed my life." It's not something like from the "remote parts of the jungle," he adds: It's a decision.

And if the staff of Wasilla Bible Church shies from taking political stands, Kalnins does not. Homosexuality, he says, is a choice. He would not vote for a pro-choice candidate. When asked about the evolution-creationism debate, Kalnins is clear: "You present the facts of creation versus evolution and the truth will come out," he says.

17. "The Millennial Reign of Christ"
Is that anything like the Thousand Year Reich?
