It's GREAT for us that Gwen Ifill is moderating the VP debate!

Tonight she had a segment with two female Republican State reps--one from OK and one from NM--sorry don't remember their names. It was a gabfest of how wonderful Palin is, how she was vetted, how
Obama isn't spending all his time with his kids, why should Palin....yadayadayada.

It was a completely fluff interview. No opinion from any Dem. No critical questions about anything.

Hubby and I used to watch News Hour every night. We quit several years ago because time after time
Gwen would line up 2 Repubs to 1 Dem for her round tables. It was so obvious that she was
giving preferential treatment to Repubs.

She (and Edwards) let Cheney get away with murder, no probing questions. Believe me, Gwen Ifills

moderating the VP debate will be like Laurie Dhue moderating or Steve Doocy.

Honestly, unless I'm badly off base, she won't NEED to ask truly hard questions to make a fool of Palin. Any question which requires even a decent knowledge of foreign policy should do. This is the woman who told the Alaksan Business Week magazine in 2007 that she really hadn't thought much about the Iraq war.

I remember the terrible job she did moderating the VP debate in 04. This gal wouldn't know a strategic or probing follow-up question if it magically appeared in front of her. She likes to make pubs look good as well. She's TERRIFIED of repubs.
