Pardon me Mr. Obama but Family does matter.
I know Obama has said time and time again that we should leave family and especially children OUT of our political discussions but I'm sorry it does matter to me, a great deal.

In every person's life there comes a point where your mind isn't on work. This sometimes lasts for an hour, Sometimes weeks. As my co-worker slowly lost his home to raising interest rates on his subprime mortgage I watched a man that I would consider one of the best and hardest workers I know turn into someone who did less and less work and more and more worry.

This is also true when it comes Family. Man or Woman there are times when you need to focus on your family and not work.

Of course I can only suspect that is ten fold when you have an infant.

Hundred fold when you have an infant with Downs.

Thousand fold when you have an Infant with Downs and a teen daughter that's pregnant.

Ten Thousand fold when you have an Infant with Downs, a pregnant teen daughter that dropped out of high school.

Hundred Thousand fold when you have an Infant with Downs, a pregnant teenage daughter that has dropped out of high school and a son deploying to Iraq.

I agree Mr. Obama. Leave family out of our political discussions when it's in regards Mrs. O saying she's finally proud of America. Or pictures of Mr. Palin not standing at the pledge of allegiance at a hockey game. Trying to tear apart someone based on something so silly and minor it's just not what politics should be about.

But when it brings to question exactly how much attention will you as a person (man or woman) will be able to focus on the job at hand rather than his/her growing list of issues at home. Should we all ignore it then?

Do we really want a VP, Man or Woman, that says, "Hey I would love to go to Iran and negotiate but I can't cause I got too much shit going on at home."

After all, this is person who didn't even know what the VP does day to day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=006axc2aELE

1. Sorry Mr. Senator. As Seven-of-Nine would say - I will not comply.
Obama can take the high road if he likes. The rest of us should fight tooth, nail, and mudslinging.

2. I agree
It absolutely goes to the core of what makes a person tick. I think that McC has most certainly found his soulmate in someone who will sacrifice absolutely anything and everything in the pursuit of power.

3. I know Obama, and him I trust. I stick with what he says. He's done well so far.
I'm glad he doesn't jump through the hoops of his thousands of advisors here who believe they know better.

5. leave off the family
and leave a little oxygen for the rest of the scandals!

It's not any one single issue. It's all of them combined, and they all need some attention and breathing room:

whats a veep do anywaygate
babygate
troopergate
alaskafirstgate
the road to the bridge to nowheregate
nepotismgate
censorshipgate
lobbyist/abrahamoffgate

Any single one of them can be babbled away. But you put them all together, and throw in 10 lawyers racing to Alaska in a last minute rush to scrub the records and slap some lipstick on this pig, and you have:

A candidate who showed the maturity of a 2 year old in his veep choice
A candidate who didn't bother to vet his potential veep
A candidate who lacks the temperament or judgement to be prez

Obama needs the troops to keep all the scandals alive and kicking, so he can tie the ugly mess together with a bow.
