Whats the story on McCain's aircraft carrier crash?

Call me cut out of the loop or whatever. But I was wondering what we know about this crash on the carrier. Can the excellent researchers here at DU shed some light on this issue?

1. a Zunni rocket cooked off on another plane and hit McCain's plane

FYI, you might see someone here claim McCain was responsible for the fire by "wet starting" his jet.

2. Is it clear which story is true?

The rocket from another plane seems unlikely to me. Wouldn't that be far fetched and likely to cause a lot more damage? Where did the wet starting story come from and what evidence is there that it's not true?
