Let's face it, tonight...
the conservatives will pee on themselves with delight no matter what Palin says or does. They'll be over the moon, and all she needs to do is turn up.

She could walk on stage, take a dump and leave, and they'll say it was the greatest speech in the history of the United States of America.

So what do we think tomorrow will bring?

2. More scandals
:-) I'm waiting for Friday when they hit the campaign trail again. Will there be those town hall meetings McCain claims to love having? I doubt it. There will be too many questions about his pick.

6. More news from the 62-page oppo report discussed in Editor & Publisher.
More scandals. More vindictive behavior. More pork. More tax evasion.

Let alone the National Enquirer madcap reporting on her possible affair with her husband's business partner.

7. The response...
...is to publicize this as much as possible.

Destroys their credibility. They can gush about her all night long, anyone who sees this is going to just keep hearing the voice of Peggy Noonan saying "political bullshit" playing in their head the more they hear it.

13. I don't really care what the conservatives think of Palin . . .
For what it's worth, McCain has energised a portion of the electorate that he needs to win, and one that, before Palin, was quite dispirited. Count one for McCain.

But in doing so, he's turned the Veep selection process into a freak show that will turn off voters and energize Obama supporters way out of proportion to what he's gained among the fundies. This in addition to roiling the RNC and providing a distraction that'll be with them for -- at the very least -- several more days.

Count ten for Obama.

15. outwardly
The Repukes will be going on and on about how awesome Failin is and how selecting her was the best decision ever. Inwardly, however, they will be cursing McCain for blowing their big chance for 4 more years of Bush. Also, sometimes they forget to turn off their mics. :yoiks:

17. Hangovers
Puking in the toilet as they realize what they've done. Horrible, horrible hangovers and remorse. As usual, too late.

All the pubes will have a terrible case of the creeping, crawling Palins.
