Huge mistake: Palin is going to attack the media and reporters
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 07:12 PM by rhombus
Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. And this is her first major outing on the national stage. A real dumb move when the press is trying to be sympathetic to an unvetted candidate. her.

8. It's rehashing the "liberal media" bull from before.
Usually the media gets weak kneed and starts apologizing for causing any distress.

16. I usually agree...but I don't think it will work this time - because it is CLEARLY not true...
if you look at CNN's response to McCain throwing a hissy fit about Campbell whatshername asking about Palin's foreign policy experience...it is not weak-kneed, it was pretty incredulous...

The media can only buckle so far, but at a certain point, even they are going to state the obvious...

9. Go, Sarah! Attack, attack -- attack the media. Make a fool of yourself.
It'll be easy -- just act naturally. Help drag down McCain.

17. she did this in Alaska as well
so it wouldn't surprise me. she also forbade any of her staff to talk to reporters without her consent.

little part time mayor playing big shot -- i guess it went to her head and she thinks she ** now.

snip:

Palin Exaggerated Work Experience for Mayoral Campaign. In 1997, Frontiersman columnist Paul Stuart wrote that after Palin had criticized her opponent for using City Hall resources for political gain, "when Palin was asked back then (by me) why the lodge where she claimed, in her campaign, to have gained her management experience, had no record of a borough business license or of paying any bed tax, she paused and said it might have been because the place had no clients for a year or so." In an article describing the possibility of recalling Palin, the Frontiersman wrote the "reasons include Palin's alleged falsification of her credentials during the campaign last fall."

Frontiersman Editorial Said Palin Made Statements That Were "Patently Untrue," Said She Had Shown "Unrepentant Backpedaling and Incessant Whining." A Frontiersman editorial wrote, "Wasilla residents have been subjected to attempts to unlawfully appoint council members, statements that have been shown to be patently untrue, unrepentant backpedaling, and incessant whining that her only enemies are the press and a few disgruntled supporters of former Mayor John Stein."

Frontiersman Editorial: Palin Doesn't Grasp the Truth. A Frontiersman editorial wrote, "Mayor Palin fails to have a firm grasp of something very simple: the truth."
