Is Sarah Palin worse than Bush? My 11-year old son wants to know
I replied to him that I honestly didn't know.

At this point in their careers - which is worse?

9. Let's just make sure she doesn't get the chance.
Send her back to the small town infighting of her local PTA.

2. Palin.
Edited on Wed Sep-03-08 07:41 PM by Franks Wild Years
She's even nuttier in a religious sense, less experienced and looking to enter rather than leave office. The annals of history will judge Bush as harshly as he deserved to be judged, but as of right now, Palin is a bigger threat as far as I'm concerned.

At this stage, Palin is a trillion times worse.

3. No. Having done terrible things to the world makes one worse...
...than the theoretical probability that someone would be an even worse president if she obtained that office.

4. The future potential for more damage is there
so I'd give it a qualified Worse.

And the qualification is she will never be anywhere near the White House any time soon. Thank GAWD.

11. That's what I'm thinking
If her faults have been identified SO SOON, it doesn't bode well for her - or the country.

5. She hasn't killed hundreds of thousands in a H-Oily Crusade.
Yet.

She has the mindset. Let's hope she never has the chance to try.

Hopefully Mrs. Palin will just be a footnote in history in a couple of months.

7. It will depend on who's pushing her to do what. Same with Shrub.
If it wasn't for Sheney, Shrub wouldn't have been as destructive as he was/is. Sarah at least seems to be able to speak in complete, inteligible sentences. My biggest fear with her is that she's already considered ruthless in her authoritarian ruling in AK. and coupled with the war monger nutcase McNuts, it's a frightful combination!

16. Not yet!
Depends on what happens in the future. Even if McCain did get elected, it would be hard for a VP to have the same kind of power and effect that George WW. Bush has. She would really have to do some serious fucking shit to equate to the level of shit Bush has reached.

I shudder to imagine Palin with Cheney's illegal "powers".

23. Yes. She'll get Cheney's powers PLUS her fundie agenda
A dangerous combination.

The best thing you can say about Cheney is that he ISN'T a fundie.

24. She isn't a drunk, done coke, or started any wars, (as far as we know)
But she's an extreme dogmatic religious nut who wants to ban books, thinks Jews are evil, wants Alaska to secede from the US, uses her office to bully anyone she choses, and thinks war on brown people is "God's Will". Give her the Bully Pulpit of the VP, or POTUS god forbid, and I think she just might be far worse than chimpboy wnen it comes to shredding the Constitution, spying, and other violations of civil liberties and human rights.

25. Yup, fair points
I must remind everyone that the Boy King exhibited VERY FEW of these fascist tendencies back in 2000.

I also think that Palin is the more dangerous of the two.

He has killed thousands. She hasn't even thought of that yet.

But she will be. If she ever becomes president, she will outdo Bush, likely by factors of magnitude. Because she will come after him, and she will continue his legacy, plus add her own scary, uninformed, twists to the game.
