One thing to beward of: The 'Pugs probably have the Palin thing "gamed" |
|
These guys always think six or seven moves ahead on any political decision. Look at how the Dan Quayle/National Guard thing played out, for example. They put out something that looked like a complete bonehead play, the Dems got the attack wrong, and Daddykins was off to the races.
We need to be very careful how we attack and what we say on the Palin question. There are bountiful grounds to get her on hypocrisy, but if we look like we're bashing the kid(as they're anticipating we will)we're known in the Biblical sense.
It's a minefield. Tread carefully, troops.

The bloggers have been way ahead of the game on this for the past 5 days. My guess is that they were as dumbfounded as the rest of us with this reckless play.

5. False analogy. You're assuming the press treats Dems & Republicans equally. |
|
The sexualized connotations of the Palin attacks will backfire because they specifically turn off people who would otherwise be open to the Democratic spin. People who get discouraged by negative politics generally tend to vote for us, when we stick to the issues like Bill Clinton did.

4. Obama isn't bashing the kids. The MSM isn't bashing the kids. |
|
We aren't bashing the... okay, some of us are, which is pretty pathetic. But we're just anonymous people on an Internet message board. And we shouldn't, because it's wrong.
Unless the Repukes pull a "OBAMA IS BEHIND DAILY KOS AND DU" attack strategy, it doesn't matter what we say. And that would be ridiculous.

9. I KNOW Obama isn't bashing the kids. Let's be clear about that. |

I just remember past history.
Attack, but attack with precision.
