These Republican delegates know the truth: It's OVER for them.
Their lack of enthusiasm, the lackluster video of GWB, the deescalation of Giuliani's speech from keynote to snooze, Carly Fiorina (who?), the longing, melancholy video presentation of Ronald Reagan, the inability to fill even a modest stadium.

And, for what is tonight's extravaganza?

The unveiling, the end of the sequestration of nothing less than the New Virgin, the ogle-able Sarah Palin, clueless hottie from a cold state.

I anticipate a wad-blowing last gasp of joy by the deservedly shit-eating dessicated old husk of a political party that has failed at every stupid-assed endeavor they've ever tried for the last thirty years.

I intend to enjoy every moment of their descent into oblivion.

Sooner than later, these old, bitter bastards will fade away and the rest of us sane human beings will rejoice like the munchkins, singing "Ding-Dong, the Witch IS dead. Really, really dead."

This is their last stand. Don't you think so?

6. Hope springs eternal.
And I hope to see a drubbing of epic proportions in November. This is one herd of elephants I wouldn't mind seeing on the endangered list.

4. Yes I do.
It's been a long time coming too. From Nixon's Southern Strategy and the gop's wholesale courtship of the conservative fundies we are long overdo for an implosion here.

8. They can never recover
Their base is shrinking. They are the party of Old Ideas. Their only hope is to dump the fundies and move into the middle, but they won't. They can't. They will become a permanent minority party.

9. they would have done this no matter who was the pick.
anyone looks fresh next to McCranky!! They would have hailed any of the other choices, had they been selected. They're trying to tie a ribbon on a turd. It's like cheering for your football team even though they haven't won a game, and are heading the wrong direction on the field. ANything to keep the other school from seeing what total losers you are!

11. That is one pitiful crowd tonight.
What happen to all the people on the floor that were so enthusiastic about the grand opening of Palin that the media has been talking about all day? The repub party deserves this embarrassment they are now going through, throwing all their hopes on an unknown.

12. Yes. Just look at them.
The hollow eyes. The focus on the past.

They're done. All but the true simpletons know it.
