McCain could NOT return from Hanoi early
He was ordered by a superior officer to stay, and other soldiers were due release in front of him. Noun. Verb. POfuckingW.

1. He was offered his freedom because of his dad. He declined.

2. Actually, His Freedom Was Offered to Kissinger, and He Said No

3. t wasn't his to decline
superior officers told him not to, and a soldier MUST follow a superior's orders, even in pow prison.
